They&#8217;re done."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.cnet.com\/8301-31001_3-20020786-261.html#ixzz13VUuKCs0\">A new article on CNET<\/a> says that &#8220;U.S. District Judge Kimba Wood issued an injunction today against the company that operates the long popular file-sharing software, LimeWire, and requires managers there to disable &#8220;the searching, downloading, uploading, file trading and\/or file distribution functionality, and\/or all functionality&#8221; of the LimeWire software&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If you visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.limewire.com\/\">Limewire<\/a> page right now, you&#8217;ll see the official &#8220;death notice&#8221;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><center><a title=\"LimeWire Closed by Royce Eddington, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/royceeddington\/5119130906\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1124\/5119130906_b1dbb61c70.jpg?resize=500%2C298\" alt=\"LimeWire Closed\" width=\"500\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is an official notice that LimeWire is under a <a href=\"http:\/\/download.limewire.com\/injunction\/Injunction.pdf\">court-ordered injunction<\/a> to stop distributing and supporting its file-sharing software. Downloading or sharing copyrighted content without authorization is illegal.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re still on Limewire, I would recommend you remove the app from your system right now.
