{"id":3538,"date":"2011-06-08T11:33:54","date_gmt":"2011-06-08T17:33:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/royceeddington.com\/?p=3538"},"modified":"2011-10-10T18:22:31","modified_gmt":"2011-10-11T00:22:31","slug":"yales-digitizing-collection-and-some-quick-math","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/royceeddington.com\/?p=3538","title":{"rendered":"Yale&#8217;s digitizing collection and some quick math"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yale <a href=\"http:\/\/discover.odai.yale.edu\/ydc\/Help\/about\">recently announced<\/a> they are going to scan and post very high res images of their &#8220;collections of art, natural history, books, and maps, as well as photos, audio, and video documenting people, places, and events that form part of Yale&#8217;s institutional identity and contribution to scholarship&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s 250,000 images out there already to start with, but there are 12,000,000 items left to scan.
