{"id":702,"date":"2009-12-03T12:55:25","date_gmt":"2009-12-03T18:55:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/royceeddington.com\/?p=702"},"modified":"2009-12-03T10:31:38","modified_gmt":"2009-12-03T16:31:38","slug":"no-such-thing-as-a-cdc-sponsored-state-vaccination-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/royceeddington.com\/?p=702","title":{"rendered":"No such thing as a CDC sponsored State Vaccination Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CDC has said there are some emails going around that refer to a CDC sponsored State Vaccination Program.<\/p>\n<p>Problem is, there is no such thing.<\/p>\n<p>The release says &#8220;The CDC has NOT implemented a state vaccination program requiring registration on www.cdc.gov. Users that click on the email are at risk of having malicious code installed on their system.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The email or web message asks for the person to create a &#8220;personal H1N1 (swine flu) Vaccination Profile on the cdc.gov website&#8221; and &#8220;anyone that has reached the age of 18 has to have his\/her personal Vaccination Profile on the cdc.gov site.&#8221; After the person clicks on the link, it takes them to a site that looks like the CDC, but after they put in all their information, the site closes.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody knows where the information is going at this time.<\/p>\n<p>An example image of a fraudulent email is below&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<div style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/hoaxes_rumors.html\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" \" title=\"Fradulent CDC email\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.cdc.gov\/images\/home\/h1n1_phishing.jpg?resize=490%2C104\" alt=\"Fradulent CDC email\" width=\"490\" height=\"104\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fradulent CDC email<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As a general rule, you shouldn&#8217;t ever trust a link in email.
