The FDA has been investigating how 207 people have been infected with a matching strain of salmonella in 42 states. Of course the mainstream media didn’t cover this… It’s actually important!

Anyhow, the FDA has narrowed it down to salami as the carrier. Specifically, salami made by Daniele International. Now Daniele International already recalled ready-to-eat varieties of their Italian style meats and not too long ago, they expanded their recall to include even more items from their ready-to-eat meat line.

But here’s the twist – their food was actually clean. It was the black pepper that spiced their items that was carrying the Salmonella.

The FDA is still checking out how salmonella got into the black pepper. But for now, if you have anything made by Daniele International, you should toss it to be on the safe side.

According to the FDA, “The Wisconsin Cheeseman announced today that it is recalling cheese log/cheese ball products…[because] some of its food items have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.”

Parkers Farm is now yanking every single one of their products off the shelves! It seems that listeria got into just about everything they have. Even if you’re healthy, listeria will give you “high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea” just because it can. Plus it can “cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women”, which isn’t funny at all.

Second, it turns out that some Alli purchased over the internet is actually counterfeit! The fake Alli doesn’t have any “orlistat, the active ingredient in its product. Instead, the counterfeit product contained the controlled substance sibutramine. Sibutramine is a drug that should not be used in certain patient populations or without physician oversight.  Sibutramine can also interact in a harmful way with other medications the consumer may be taking.”

Fake Alli

… buying drugs off the internet is really dangerous. For all you know, the people selling drugs off the internet are pouring Draino in the capsules and sealing it with lyme.

Some Harry London Chocolate Pecan Caramel Stars are getting pulled today because “they have not been labeled to include Wheat, FD&C colors Yellow #5, Red # 40 and Blue #1 as an ingredient(s).”

The specific item getting pulled is the Harry London Chocolate Pecan Caramel Stars with a lot code of 9238-1.

Even though the package had a statement that “product was manufactured on equipment shared with peanuts, tree nuts, soybeans, milk, eggs, and wheat, Harry London is undertaking this voluntary recall out of an abundance of caution.”

Sounds like Harry London’s legal department paid the quality control guys a little visit.

No other Harry London products are affected by this recall.

The Encompass Group announced they are voluntarily recalling the entire Thermoflect product line. This product was used in MR (Magnetic Resonance) environments, but is being pulled back for “relabeling”.

Encompass Group Corporate Compliance Officer Jea R. Gackowski said “”We are requesting that the Thermoflect blankets and other products not be used in MR conditional or MR compatible environments. We are in the process of sending labels to our customers to be attached per instructions to remind the hospitals that the product line should not be used in the MR environment.”

Wait… what? Thermoflect blankets and covers were used in MR (Magnetic Resonance) environments before, and now they’re suddenly not?

Gackowski said that in the past they stated their Thermoflect product was indeed OK to use in MR environments, and their product is still great for treating hypothermia, but “…we have been advised by the FDA that a report has been filed of an injury to an (MRI) patient.  Several items are under consideration, including all of the blankets used in the MRI environment, of which Thermoflect is one.  There is no evidence that the Thermoflect blanket caused the injury but as a precautionary measure we are voluntarily recalling the product line for relabeling.”

Yikes. I smell a lawsuit. A big, nasty one too. And the Encompass Group is implementing plan “CYA”.
