A cat stands his ground against not just one, but two alligators (the second alligator shows up at the 1:03 mark).
(Spoiler for those worried this video won’t end well : the cat smacks them both back into the water.)
Dude. I know that cat. The friendliest, most lovable creature to ever purr, but when it’s time to throw down, he doesn’t care how big the intruder is. He brings it.
On a serious note, WTF is up with the humans in the video? Help the cat! Move the kids! Damn!
I found another classic video while sifting through my archives. This short film from 2001 stars Clive Owen and Madonna and was directed by Guy Ritchie.
Oven though this was made 9 years ago, Clive’s performance still makes me laugh.
According to Wikipedia, “The BMW film series, The Hire was a series of eight short films (averaging about ten minutes each) produced for the Internet in 2001 and 2002. A form of branded content, all eight films featured popular filmmakers from across the globe, starred Clive Owen as the “Driver”, and highlighted the performance aspects of various BMW automobiles. The plots of each of the films differ, but one constant remains: Clive Owen plays “The Driver”, a man who goes from place to place (in presumably rented BMW automobiles), getting hired by various people to be a sort of transport for their vital needs.”
Unfortunately, “on October 21, 2005, BMW stopped distribution of The Hire on DVD and removed all eight films from the BMWFilms website just four years after the first film debuted.”
I know I’ve got the original DVD from BMW with all the films somewhere around here, too. If I can find it, I’ll rip them all and post to YouTube.
EDIT: The first Transporter film with Jason Statham “whose job it is to deliver packages without asking any questions” while doing crazy stunts in fancy cars came out on October 11, 2002. Coincidence?
I haven’t posted for awhile because I’ve been traveling all over Texas. Plus I’ve got major projects piling up that I’ve gotta’ blitz through as fast as I can, so my free time is actually somewhat less than zero right now.
Anyhow, on one of my recent travels through south Texas, I found the elusive Mr. Loin.
Mr. Sir-Loin.
You know, with the stones to have a tag like “Howdy My name is Sir-Loin”, I kinda’ wanted to give them a try. But I didn’t have time for a sit-down lunch and wound up drivin’ through a local Whataburger instead. Maybe next time.
To paraphrase a Samuel Jackson line from “Snakes on a Plane”, “Enough is enough! I have had it with these mother******g musicians ripping off my mother******g childhood!”
Shakira robbing Fozzie bear was bad enough, but now I see a band called Neon Trees has a video called “Animal”…
Hmmmm. That video looks familiar.
Museum patrons minding their own business? Suddenly getting gassed by a colorful smoke? Everyone falls down unconscious? Vandals enter the museum and deface/repaint the artwork? But they spare the one painting the very colorful leader likes?
Holy ripoff, Batman! That’s all from the 1989 movie… Batman! The one with Michael Keaton!
What is really depressing is that Tyler Glenn, the lead singer of Neon Trees, is 27 years old. When this Batman movie came out in 1989, he was all of 6 years old.
The good news is that I’m finally old enough to recognize a ripoff when I see one! The bad news is that I’m finally old enough to recognize a ripoff when I see one!
I think I’m gonna’ go get me a Whataburger and a cold beer now before I start yelling at kids to get off my lawn.
