Been awhile
There needs to be a word for when you don’t whistle on the path as much anymore. Not because you don’t have a tune. It’s because you realize the forest has always had an unfair mix of kind and unkind, and when the sun starts setting, the kind ones go into hiding, and the unkind ones do not.

Technical notice: The ability to comment on my website has been repaired, but all comments from October 23rd to November 15th were lost. I’m really sorry about that, but it was necessary to get everything back up and running.
